Hear how the Tudors, one of the most iconic royal families, left a lasting legacy on Chelsea with expert tour guide Guy Fairbank.
About the event
The Tudors are one of the most iconic and well-known royal families in history. Their impact and legacy are widespread, and one area they frequently visited was Chelsea. Its situation by the River Thames attracted two of King Henry VIII’s queens, his Lord Chancellor Sir Thomas More and a much-married countess.
Explore how this Tudor legacy can still be seen in the roads and pathways of Chelsea today. And meet a range of characters ranging from Tudor England’s most educated women, a teenage Elizabeth I and the mother-in-law of the Nine Day Queen.
This tour will start and end at the National Army Museum. It will last around an hour and a half.
