About the event
Chelsea has been home to different cultures and ideas for hundreds of years. This tour explores the links between local residents and places around the world, from Europe to America, Asia and the West Indies.
Sarah Reid brings to life eclectic characters such as the Russian ballet dancer who inspired Margot Fonteyn, the Italian artist whose peacocks disturbed his neighbours, and the Irish physician whose Physic Garden taught Agatha Christie about the art of poison.
This tour will start and end at the National Army Museum. It will last around an hour and a half.
About the speaker
Sarah Reid is a historian, art psychotherapist and founder of Pollen & Reid, which leads unique experiential tours around the capital. She has collaborated with the Garden Museum and Saatchi Gallery to host art therapy groups for new mothers and migrant communities.
