Author Damien Lewis and military advisor Paul Biddiss discuss the making of the hit movie ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’, based on Lewis’s bestselling book.
About the event
In the bleak moments after defeat on mainland Europe in winter 1939, Winston Churchill knew that Britain had to strike back hard. A completely new kind of warfare was born, conducted by a band of eccentric free-thinking warriors to become the first ‘deniable’ secret operatives to strike behind enemy lines.
This remarkable story, told expertly by Damien Lewis, has been adapted for a major motion picture directed by Guy Ritchie, starring Henry Cavill.
Damien discusses his book and the movie adaptation with military advisor Paul Biddiss, who worked on the production.
