This Easter, spend time in our beautiful Garden with loved ones following our self-led arty trail.

About the event

Explore the Garden and unleash your inner budding artist as you fill out your trail booklet and learn more about the plants and animals that live here.

At the end of the trail, each child will receive a small chocolate treat and get the opportunity to participate in a fun craft workshop.

You can also participate in our drop-in activity, pond dipping and enjoy a bite to eat at the Physic Garden Café.

The tour is available on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday from 10am – 4pm with advance booking as follows:

Ticket Information:

Trail costs £5 per person (plus normal admission). Please book in advance as follows:

When you book your entry ticket for either Good Friday, Easter Sunday, or Easter Monday you will be able to purchase the Easter Trail at booking. Make sure you purchase the Easter Trail before you checkout.

All ages welcome but this trail is designed for children.

All children must be accompanied by an adult paying full admission or a ‘Friend of the Garden’.

Please note:

  • Timed tickets are valid throughout the whole day. You do not have to arrive at exactly the time you’ve book for.
  • Friends can book from 10am, non-friends booking from 11am.

Last booking slot is 4pm and the Garden closes at 5pm.

FAQs

Is the Chelsea Physic Garden accessible?

Most of the Garden is fully accessible, with the exception of the first floor Gallery at Chelsea Physic Garden which is used only for special events and is only accessible via a narrow 22 step staircase with a handrail.

Are bikes or scooters allowed?

Bikes (including folding bikes) and scooters are not permitted. There are bike racks located along Royal Hospital Road. These can be used to secure any bikes and scooters.

Please do not secure any bikes or scooters to the railings outside the Royal Hospital Chelsea or Burton Court. Any items secure to these railings will be removed.

Can I bring children?

Please adhere to the age range specified for events on the listings page and if appropriate please book a ticket for your child. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult approved by the parent/guardian. The event organiser cannot be responsible for unsupervised children.
