Discover rare First World War sketches of Indian Army soldiers serving on the Western Front.
About the event
This free exhibition brings together intimate sketches by French artist Paul Sarrut, who served as a liaison officer and interpreter with British, French and Indian units during the First World War.
Featuring 58 original drawings, many shown publicly for the first time in more than 100 years, the exhibition offers a rare view of everyday life for soldiers far from home.
Visitors can also explore uniforms, photographs, medals, archival material and interactive displays connected to the Indian Army’s wartime experience.
