Join us at the Soane Stable Yard as the Royal Hospital takes part in this year’s Chelsea Dog Day.

About the event

Relax in our courtyard with a coffee, and treat your dog to a puppacino from our on-site café, Heidi. Throughout the day, we will be running a variety of dog-themed activities for all ages – including children’s workshops, guided dog tours, and a special visit from the Irish Guards’ mascot, Shamus.

Meet Shamus – Regimental Mascot of the Irish Guards

Location: Soane Stable Yard Courtyard

Time: 13:00 (Drop in event).

Meet Shamus the Irish Guards Regimental mascot and his handler, and learn about the role of military dogs.

Dog Jacket Colouring Activity

Location: Activity Space

Time: 14:00–16:00

A drop-in colouring session for children, where they can design and colour their own dog jacket templates.

Heidi Café Offer

Enjoy a coffee in our courtyard while your dog enjoys a puppacino. Special dog-friendly offers will be available throughout the day.

Soane Stable Yard Shop 

Our regular shop will be open as usual, with an extended selection of dog-related items available for Chelsea Dog Day. Browse our range of dog jackets and dog treats.

Are bikes or scooters allowed?

Bikes (including folding bikes) and scooters are not permitted. There are bike racks located along Royal Hospital Road. These can be used to secure any bikes and scooters.

Please do not secure any bikes or scooters to the railings outside the Royal Hospital Chelsea or Burton Court. Any items secure to these railings will be removed.
