About the event
We invite you to join us in celebrating Women’s History Month this March, with Maria from Herstorical Tours as she introduces to you extraordinary women through history. Through live storytelling you will learn about Hildegard of Bingen, Mary Seacole, Jeanne Baret, Elizabeth Blackwell, and Mary Delany—women who healed, explored, illustrated, and cultivated knowledge. Some of these women walked these very grounds, while others left a legacy that reaches us from afar.
Doors open at 5:30pm, giving you time to arrive, explore the Garden or visit the Physic Garden Café for a drink before the tour begins at 6pm. The evening will conclude with a discussion on women in botany today—celebrating progress while reflecting on the challenges that remain.
Expect an evening of live storytelling, history, and interactive moments that bring these stories to life.
