Explore Chelsea’s instrumental role in the London punk scene with expert tour guide Steven Szymanski.

About the event

In the 1970s, punk erupted onto the streets of Chelsea. The King’s Road became a hub for all things punk, with artists, fashion icons and musicians flocking to the area.

From Malcom McLaren’s headquarters to Vivienne Westwood’s iconic Sex boutique, Steven Szymanski highlights Chelsea’s punk heritage, revisiting the days of counterculture, self-expression and rebellion.

This tour will start and finish at the National Army Museum. It will last approximately two hours.

About the speaker

Steven Szymanski is a Blue Badge Guide. His walking tours focus on London’s modern musical heritage, but he is also an expert on London transport and the impact of the First and Second World Wars on the capital.
