About the event
In a dazzling piece of restorative history, Anthony Delaney breathes new life into the forgotten people who dared to challenge society’s expectations, revealing the tragedies and the joys of queer life in the Georgian age.
Drawing on previously unearthed archives and court records, Anthony will offer radical new interpretations of celebrated figures such as Anne Lister and the Chevalier D’Eon.

About the speaker
Anthony Delaney has a PhD in History from the University of Exeter, where he is an Honorary Fellow. He presents the popular History Hit podcast series ‘After Dark’. ‘Queer Georgians’ is his first book.
