About the speaker

Alys Fowler is a writer, gardener and broadcaster known for her work on ‘Gardeners’ World’ and her long-running column in ‘The Guardian’. Trained at Kew, RHS Wisley and the New York Botanical Garden, she is the author of several acclaimed books on nature, including ‘Hidden Nature’ and ‘Peatlands. Her work blends horticultural knowledge with lyrical, personal storytelling.
