About the speakers

Mark Gwynne is a business owner and investment banker. He has published a collection of his father’s letters, ‘Dear Mum and Dad: Letters Home from Active Service, 1941-45’, covering his experiences during the Second World War.

Emily Maitlis is an award-winning journalist and former newsreader. Until 2021, she presented the BBC’s flagship current affairs show ‘Newsnight’. Since then, she has been a presenter of the daily podcast ‘The News Agents’. Emily is also the author of the ‘Sunday Times’ bestseller ‘Airhead: An Exploration of the Imperfect Art of Making News’.

Are bikes or scooters allowed?

Bikes (including folding bikes) and scooters are not permitted. There are bike racks located along Royal Hospital Road. These can be used to secure any bikes and scooters.

Please do not secure any bikes or scooters to the railings outside the Royal Hospital Chelsea or Burton Court. Any items secure to these railings will be removed.
