Explore wild edible plants through foraging knowledge, folklore and history, while learning how to identify plants safely and responsibly.

About the event

Join grower and forager Ella Brolly for a walk exploring the edible, medicinal and cultural stories found in the plant world.

Learn how to identify wild plants and plant families, understand the differences between edible and poisonous species, and discover some of the traditional medicinal and folk uses associated with them.

The session also looks at the history and folklore surrounding wild foods, ethical and responsible foraging, land access and the journey from wild plants to the foods we know today.

Pre-prepared vegan and gluten-free wild snacks and drinks are included. This is an educational walk and participants will not harvest plants from the Garden.
