Discover how medicinal plants and everyday foods can support skin health and first aid in this practical one-day workshop.

About the event

Spend the day exploring natural approaches to skin care and everyday first aid with medical herbalist and author Alex Laird.

Learn about herbs traditionally used for common skin concerns including eczema, cold sores, insect bites and acne. You’ll explore useful plants growing in the Garden and discover how they can be prepared and used.

The practical session includes making your own infused oils, ointments, creams and lotions, helping you build a simple plant-based first-aid kit to take home.

The ticket includes Garden entry, lunch in the Physic Garden Café, course handouts and herbal remedies made during the day. The workshop takes place both in the Garden and in the Learning Classroom and will go ahead whatever the weather.
