Steve McCarthy recounts the remarkable life of Royal Welch Fusilier Jack Hill, whose career took him through campaigns across Europe and the Caribbean before he was seriously wounded at Waterloo.
Drawing on Hill’s surviving letters, the talk reveals the experiences, setbacks and adventures behind an extraordinary military life.
