About the event
Following the Artists of Chelsea lecture, this hands-on workshop invites participants to explore the practice of botanical illustration.
Working from plants and natural specimens, participants will be encouraged to slow down, observe carefully and create their own artistic response. The session takes inspiration from the botanical artists and scientific illustrators connected with Chelsea Physic Garden, including Elizabeth Blackwell and Margaret Mee.
No previous drawing or painting experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
Workshop participants should also attend the preceding Artists of Chelsea lecture, which is ticketed separately.
